What You’ll Need:

Step 1: Measure Your Space
Use a measuring tape to determine how wide and deep your table or shelf can be.
Tip:

Leave at least 1–2 inches of clearance on each side

Step 2: Choose Your Shelf Height
Pick a comfortable height for folding clothes. This is usually 36 to 42 inches from the floor—similar to kitchen counters.

Step 3: Find the Wall Studs
Using a stud finder, locate the studs in the wall above your washer. Mark the stud locations with a pencil.
